PHOENIX, Ariz. - U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor, D-Ariz., announced Monday that he will miss votes in Congress this week due to the sudden death of his father-in-law.

Pastor, who was scheduled to return to Washington on a Monday flight, will remain in Phoenix this week. His father-in-law, Mr. Al Mendez Sr., died Monday morning at a Valley hospital.
